Q&A with Pearl:

What is your favorite part about working on the Marketing team? One of my favorite things about working on the Marketing team is the opportunity to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds. Everyone brings a unique perspective—whether in content creation, creative direction, or strategic planning—and that specialized diversity makes our work stronger. Every project feels like a true team effort, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see how our different strengths come together to create something impactful. Tell us about the WelcomeHome rebrand project! Even before I officially joined WelcomeHome full time, conversations about rebranding were already in motion. I was excited to take on this project in a more comprehensive way, especially after contributing to early design efforts during my internship. Many of those initial projects laid the foundation for what the rebrand eventually became. From designing new iconography and logos, to developing an entirely new color palette, the process was both creatively fulfilling and important to move the brand forward.

My favorite part was developing our new color system. The original palette was limited to six colors with very similar values, which often made designs feel constrained and impacted accessibility and readability. To address this, I researched color contrast best practices and explored how other brands built versatile and inclusive palettes. I proposed expanding our color system to include secondary and complementary tones, allowing for greater flexibility while staying true to our brand. Color is foundational, and my goal was to create something lasting—something that truly reflects WelcomeHome’s bright and energetic culture.

Why WelcomeHome?

It is rare to find a space where creativity, purpose, and people-first values genuinely intersect. WelcomeHome has just that. What drew me in and keeps me inspired, is the company’s inclusiveness and how much they invest in creating a supportive environment. There’s a culture here that encourages exploration and growth. As a designer, that is incredibly motivating. It feels good to work for a company that treats people well with real attention and empathy, inside and out.
