Q&A with Jeron:
What is your favorite part about working on the Customer Insights team? Team & impact. The Customer Insights team is a group of incredibly smart, fun, and passionate individuals. It's an environment that gives me energy to do great work every day. It is also so rewarding to know that I am working in an industry that is excited about receiving new data insights. We aren't just going through the motions. We are very intentional about finding impactful insights and data solutions that will help improve our customers' operations and help to continually improve the industry. It's a joy to work on impactful projects with such great people. Could you tell us about a current project you're working on? Since starting, I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, but one that stands out is helping to kick off our survey pilots. Maggie has done an incredible job spearheading the effort, and I was excited to support by working with new data and designing internal dashboards to track performance and effectiveness of surveys. Those dashboards have already helped us pinpoint areas for improvement on the operational side, providing clearer direction on where to focus. Beyond the technical work, I've enjoyed partnering with and learning from our pilot participants. It's been rewarding to see how these surveys are already adding value for operators during the pilot phase. It's been fun to work on something new, and I'm excited to see where surveys continue to expand.
What excites you most about working in technology?
What excites me most about working in technology is the pace and impact. Things can move quickly, and the results often have a clear, tangible effect on people's day-to-day lives by making them easier or more efficient. I also enjoy being close to the cutting edge. Technology is constantly evolving, creating opportunities to innovate and shape the future.
How have your prior experiences shaped your career path?
I began my career with a focus on learning as much as possible, building my technical skills, and exploring the many ways data science could be applied to solve problems across industries. Over time, my priorities started to shift. I realized I wanted to work on projects that gave me energy, where I could be excited not just about the tools I was using, but also about the mission behind the work. I became more interested in helping to build something meaningful, with a focus on delivering high-quality insights. Too often, I've seen teams lose momentum chasing endless KPIs, so I've grown passionate about focusing on the metrics that actually matter and drive impact.
Why WelcomeHome?
I was initially drawn to WelcomeHome because of the people. Everyone I talked to seemed genuinely interested in the work they were doing. These weren't people who were working for the weekend and dreading Monday. They were people who had a clear "why" and a clear passion for their work. It was these types of people and this kind of work that I knew I was looking for. The people around me are a daily reminder of why I chose WelcomeHome.
