Q&A with Bridget:

What is your favorite thing about working on the Product Team?

Everyone on the Product Team is incredibly sharp and each person brings a unique perspective. That mix, makes our work both challenging and fun, constantly pushing us to look at problems from every angle. Collaborating with people who think differently is what drives real, ongoing improvement. It also challenges you in a way that I think is important for personal growth. Could you tell us about a project you've been working on?

I'm usually juggling a few things at once, but lately, like many in tech, we've been curious about AI. We're constantly exploring how it could make a real impact in the Senior Living space. We set a high bar. Whatever we build has to be genuinely useful, save time, and—above all—be accurate and safe for our customers. The research journey has been full of surprising twists and turns on this subject, and it's been fascinating to see where it leads.

What excites you most about working in UX Research?

Researching with and on behalf of users is so humbling. Any time you think you have all the answers or know everything there is to know, they do something unpredictable. It is a role that forces one to be interested in learning something new while being challenged nearly every single day. For folks like myself, that value growth and every day being different, it’s the perfect place to be.

Why WelcomeHome?

Let’s be honest, it’s kind of an open secret in tech that interview processes can be long, tedious, and sometimes totally miss the mark. My experience with WelcomeHome was completely different. It felt like a real conversation, not just a checklist. I got a peek behind the curtain, was asked for my perspective, and from the start, it felt like we were building a true partnership. Everyone I spoke with seemed genuinely curious about what it would be like to work together, and I got to do the same. What really stood out was how passionate the team is about their work and the impact they’re making. That kind of energy is rare, and I knew it would make everyday life here not just meaningful, but actually fun and inspiring.

Favorite quote?

When I bought my first home, I was given simple advice to demonstrate the necessity and consistency of home maintenance and repair and I say it to everyone when they buy a home for the first time: “Always remember, mother nature hates your house.” It’s really served me well to keep in mind.
